How AIM Business School Writes A Personal Career Roadmap For Every MBA Student

The AIM Business School has tailor-made their MBA program to help students zero in on the perfect courses to suit their professional goals.

Recognising the challenge that students face when trying to select the best course to align with their professional lives, AIM Business School helps to nurture the enrolment process with their ‘MBA-Focus Areas’ initiative.

The program is designed to help students select their electives for a tailored approach to study through a practical, yet academically rigorous applied learning context and no exams.

“At AIM Business School, we’ve always ensured our program is designed for the working professional. We want to ensure students gain the most from their study,” AIM Business School Dean, Professor Elizabeth More said.

“Individuals looking to focus their study in a particular subject area shows a commitment they’ve made in their career.

“They may be Human Resource Professionals looking to progress into a senior managerial role, or those who are eager to stick to their specialty while gaining the broad business acumen they require to excel.

“Choosing your electives for your MBA qualification can be difficult. There are 12 electives to choose from and determining which one is for you requires a lot of discussion.

“Some individuals may not necessarily want to walk away with a specialisation such as an MBA Human Resources, but would rather gain a general management degree and utilise the principles as a way to apply their learnings to a field of study,” she said.

The focus areas centre around four main groups – Change Management, Human Resource Management, Entrepreneurship and Consultancy. Students are also able to select the preferred study mode for each unit. Blending both online and on-campus or going down the purely online pathway.

AIM Business School’s MBA course exists in the physical and digital sphere, meaning students have the ability to choose how they approach their studies, whether that be online or blending on-campus and online options. AIM Business School also has campuses in four major CBD locations in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.

“It’s always a challenge to differentiate your MBA program to others around the world,” Professor More said.

“However, with students at AIM Business School having the ability to study how and when they want, with quality guidance on the electives that will allow them to gain immediate value from their learnings, I think we have a winning formula.”
